Make Money Through Your Website or Blog

Why a website or a blog?

For many people blogging is a way to express themselves online for the rest of the world to read. Most of these people want to share their knowledge with other people. I for example always wanted to share my knowledge, with a sense that somewhere in this world someone can be benefited through my knowledge; as a result I started this website.

Many people make websites and blocks, to share knowledge and to make money at the same time. While on other hand many people consider it evil and immoral to commercialize their blocks. Personally I think who ever has some sort of knowledge or experience should make a website or a block and share it with the world.

However it is their choice whether they want to make money or not. Blogging especially is a way to interact with other human beings on the net. Humans are social animals, interacting with other people gives them a sense of being needed and they feel satisfied and happy if they come to know that they have helped other humans in some way.

Therefore those blocks ultimately succeed which either offer genuine services or give sincere advice or transfer quality knowledge to their readers. If you are sincere, capable and hard working at the end of day you will make money with your block.

You want to make a website or a blog fine, but first decide what type of blog you want to make. Make your mind seriously before stating on this path. Think, what topics interest you, pick up a topic which is of great interest to you.

Do you love gardening, have you deep down always been interested in function and mechanics of cars, are you a good parent, or a student. Whatever is your interest, start a blog or website about it, never start a website for just money. Always make a website on that subject, in which you have keen interest. It does not make any difference if you have its knowledge or not.

Why choose such a subject? It is because firstly you will be needing stamina and patient to write for your block or read and edit the written material. In short you will be spending hours on your block or website therefore if you don’t have interest in a certain subject after sometime you will become bored and agitated.

Therefore before starting a block or website think strongly and decide what interests you the most. If for example you have always been interested in animals, or pets or cars or airplanes, but you don’t have knowledge about your subject of interest than first acquires knowledge about it. Visit libraries and gather knowledge from people especially contact middle age personals or retired officers – that is if you are interested in airplanes or about life in the army.

You will be surprised how many people want to transfer their knowledge to others. In turn transfer your acquired knowledge to the world via your blog or website. Similarly if you have interest in pets start a block or website on them.

Write articles on how to take care of your pet, write about their behavior cover their disease attend pet shows and write about them. Take interviews of people who have pets, with their permission print their pictures on your site along with their pets.

Your inner interest will and should develop into passion and passion makes great writers. A website/ blog are representation of your passion, your passion reaches out to people, and as a result they become your loyal readers.

Therefore, first of all sit in a quiet place take a piece of paper, write down why you want to start your site on the net and what is your actual inner interest. Which topic will inspire, motivate and will make you happy. Write down all the topics which are liked by you then choose the one which you think will develop into a passion.

The hot list topics of your interest can be film stars, movies, bikes, car, animals, relationships, young children, gardening, medical plants, trees, and places. There are many topics, but your interest and passion will be one. First focus on the topic of your choice, increase your knowledge about it, be persistent latter once your website starts you can increase your horizon to other topics of interest.

Website/ blog design choosing

Design for your block, should be simple and graceful. Choose the design of your website wisely never try to impress your readers with your block design. Consider the design of your web/ block a reflection of your personality. Your design should give an impression that the owner and builder of the website/ block is a serious professional who is on the net to convey his / her knowledge to others.

Strong engaging-content is hugely important for success of any website or a blog. Each article should be written with sincerity and in balance. In this day and age people are seeking sincerity; they want a person who can reach them with a sincere heart. So make your first rule to reach out to people with sincerity, and they will respond to you with the same feeling.

Fall in love with the article which you are writing and treat it so. While writing an article consider yourself a potter, and your article as clay. How would you mold your clay? What shape do you want to give it? Once your earthen wear that is your article is ready – how the people will see it. Will it influence them positively; I know many blog writers who put more than 40 work hours in a single article, including me.

First do research on the specific article, which you want to write. The more knowledge you have, the better you will write. Write down all important points, latter expand these points into paragraphs, read the article if not satisfied rewrite it again. Write for all your potential readers, convey proper message and information.

This will encourage more readers to visit your site and book mark it. Make a rule never write for money write for your readers and for yourself, money will follow. Do not put things haphazardly together in an article; it will lose rhythm and interest. Give a reason to your article, it should always reflect sincerity, knowledge and concern for others. After writing your article reviews it the next day.

Title of the blog/ web

Choose the title of your web or block carefully, it will represent the content of your web or block. It will tell the web searchers what your web/ block stands for. Chose a title, which is attractive to the web visitors. A proper title attracts reasonable traffic towards itself.

If you have a day job do not quit, to start a web/block on the net, 99 percent people who start a block fail to earn money from it, why? Because they are impatient, they do not start a blog on things which interest them instead they read how others are making money on the net and try to copy their way and format.

For example, I know web sites dealing in selling and buying of cars make money on the net. I do not have interest in cars, for the sake of making money, if I start a web site for cars, it will end in a disaster as I will not be passionate about it, nor will be able to write well. In a nut shell, start a web/block for yourself.

Take it slow, acquire knowledge, and do research, once your web / block starts to make money then quit your job. Before starting educates yourself as much as you can about various basic computer technologies you should know what HTML, RSS, pings or plugs mean. You do not have to be a computer programmer, but you should know about the basic terms and technologies. A lack of computer technology is a major cause of failure when it comes to income generation.

Write with sincerity. Today the most endangered feelings of human beings are lack of sincerity for other humans. If you’re writing will reflect sincerity, and genuine concerns for others, people will respond.

Sub-consciously we always want genuine and sincere friends, we all desire that the people we know should be sincere to us, and a web master is no different. When people click to your web, they will be looking for solid and genuine information. The sincerity and concerns which your writing will reflect will create a link between you and your readers. Especially if you are trying to sell something on your web, the more your readers trust you through your writings the more they will buy from you.

How to build traffic

What creates traffic growth? Word of mouth is the basic source through which traffic grows, even if a few visitors first visit your web, if your content is good, strong, informative and written well they will tell others to visit your web.

No matter how much you marketize your web or block on the net. If your web/ blog doesn’t hold valuable content no one will appreciate and praise it in front of others. Nor will anyone return to your web / blog. Growth always comes from people telling people.

Serious traffic will generate you money. With sufficient traffic you can monetize your web site. Traffic building is the biggest challenge for any blocker. Traffic is the main and primary fuel of a web/ block as it generates money. More money means more ad clicks, more product sales and more affiliated scales.

More traffic also means that you are helping more people. You can also increase your traffic by writing articles and submitting to already established blocks such as EzineArticles, HubPages, Squidoo, and many others. You can also leave comments on others articles, but leave a good comment which suggests or gives your proper opinion. Another proper way to bring traffic to your blog or website is to do blogging on other established blogs such as shoutmelloud etc.

Always place your link at the base of the article, so that the readers can get connected to your web. Do submit articles to’ block carnival’. They have millions of visitors each month; you can surely increase traffic to your website by submitting an article to them.

The other Bloggers

Instead of seeing other bloggers as a competition in your niche see them as your allies, as they can link to, re-tweet or share your posts.

Social networks are often a great place to begin building a relationship with fellow bloggers. Read their articles, and leave comments on their blocks, after commenting place link to your block in the end.

Gravatar image

Gravatar image is short for globally recognized avatar. It’s your photo which follows you from site to site appearing beside your name.

When you do things like leave a comment on a blog or post your article to a website. You can sign up for a gravatar account free; your photo will help you to make more links to your blog. A Picture gives personality to a name (if you are not photogenic like me than it’s another story)

Akismet Anti-Spam plug-in

One problem that every blog faces is spam. Spammer markets will attempt to promote their products through spam comments and track backs, stop the never ending spam by installing Akismet.

It is a powerful anti-spam plug-in, it will stop spam comments. Akismet monitors millions of blogs and forums, and known’s the tricks that spammers use. If you run a personal block it is free. If you have a business block, it will cost you 5 dollars a month

Jetpack Plug-in

Jetpack is a single plugin that gives you the most powerful WordPress. com features. Jetpack is a popular plugin, developed by the folks over at Automattic Inc. Automattic Inc is a web development corporation founded in August 2005.

It is most notable for WordPress. com (a free blogging service), as well as its contributions to WordPress (open source blogging software), and over the past few years they’ve done a tremendous job improving the plugin by adding loads of useful features which makes managing a WordPress site a whole lot easier.

With their recent update Jetpack 2. 3, they have introduced omnisearch– a combined search engine within WordPress that searches your site’s content and has the capacity to add more search engines using filters. Jet pack is a powerful and essential plug in, it has multiple features that every WordPress, and user can take advantage of.

One big mistake bloggers make is that immediately after launching their website or blog. They want advertisement for their block as they get paid per click. In initial stages, just put your energy into writing good content, leave advertisement to latter time. Once traffic starts flowing than consider about advertisement. Do not over do with advertisement, many blogger lose readers owning to excessive advertisement.

Top 5 Benefits to Having an Ad Agency Blog

“4 out of 5 Americans read blogs”

Your agency’s blog is one of the most important new business tools in your arsenal. It can quickly become the “gateway” to your agency and even your agency’s website. A trend is developing where the Ad agency website is becoming more like the agency brochure or portfolio. This isn’t a bad thing.

Below I have listed my Top 5 Benefits to Having an Ad Agency Blog:

Benefit 1: Fresh Content

It usually takes advertising agencies a great amount of time and effort to update their website and even more so if they have to redesign their websites. From my experience working with agencies this is a very S-L-O-W process. Usually many people are involved and turf battles are waged. Most agencies website designs are not conducive to easy content management and difficult to update. Agencies also also tend to be too self critical of their own work. It is always harder for them to do work for themselves than it is for their clients.

Blogs on the other hand are much easier to keep updated with fresh content, highlighting work and are designed for repeat traffic.

Benefit 2: Generate More Traffic

That your blog has the potential to create more traffic than your agency’s website is good. Your blog has the potential to attract a high volume of quality traffic from the pool of prospective clients you are trying to reach.

Blogs develop more visitors through:

*Search visibility – blogs are organized to be search engine friendly. Plus the more content you have (well-linked) the more chances there are of attracting search traffic.

*Click-through traffic – through posting interesting articles a blog gives a reason for other people to link to you.

*Repeat traffic – regularly updated content and comments bring visitors back … and back … and back. Most agency websites are not conducive to repeat traffic, particularly if your website hasn’t been updated and 5 years.

*Personality – create a blog around your agency’s image and culture and let your personality shine through and people will be attracted to you. People like to associate with people they like. It’s hard to make friends with a business but easy to warm to an individual with a welcoming personality.

*Viral effects – you create something cool and visitors tell their friends, who tell their friends … and so on.

*Authority/credibility – blogging allows you to become an expert in the minds of your prospective clients.

Benefit 3: Easy to Use

Setting up a blog isn’t like setting up a Web site. A blog is simple to set up even for the technologically challenged. No HTML coding experience is necessary.

If you new to blogging, you will find there are a number of free blogging services that can easily get you started. You can literally be up and running in a few minutes. Blogger, is a great place to start. It is very simple to use. However, you’ll probably want to transition to WordPress eventually. Be sure to secure your own domain for your blog so that changing services wont be an issue for you down the road.

Benefit 4: Inexpensive

The only word more popular than easy to ad agency CEOs is inexpensive. There is virtually no hard cost is involved. Only your time. You will greatly return you cost on investment of time by reusing your blog content in EzineArticles, emails, enewsletters, white papers and in traditional publications.

Benefit 5: A Great New Business Tool

In a recent survey of business technology marketing executives by research firm MarketingSherpa, blogs were voted the No. 4 tool for generating sales leads. Ultimately a blog can be highly effective, the most powerful and low-cost new business marketing tool your agency will ever use. Provided you know your target audience, have the right positioning, messaging and rich content that is of benefit to those you are trying to reach.

Blogging will take time and effort but the reward will be great. Just remember, be consistent. Provide a blog post at least several times a week and don’t sell. Instead use your blog to establish and build relationships. This new business tool is superior to any other tool that I’ve used in building relationships for new business. People enjoy working with those they know, trust and like.

Agencies have difficulty articulating who they are, why they are different, what they offer and how they do what they do. As you research and write your blog posts, an added benefit will be clarity. The old adage is true, “you don’t know what you know, until you write it down.”

“Your agency is your most important client”

How To Get Free Website Traffic With Onsite SEO

The best place to start generating free website traffic is from the pages on your website using some basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques.

Onsite SEO is the most important component of search engine optimization. It relates to the content on your website, internal website links, navigation, page design, keyword density and any pictures, video or audio on a webpage. Here are a few basic onsite SEO tips to help you to generate free website traffic.

What Are Your Keywords?

To obtain information from the millions of website pages on the internet, a search engine uses special software robots, known as spiders, to create lists of the words from website pages.

The words that you want those robot spiders to collect from your website are the keywords that somebody will type into a search engine when they are looking for the products or services that your website business provides. The easier you make it for the search engine spiders to examine your website, the better your search results will be.

Page Titles

The title of your web page is the first component of your onsite SEO. This is one of the first places that a search engine spider will check when it crawls your website. If your page title matches a search query, you’re going to get ranked higher in the search results.

The next step of your onsite SEO is your headings. Use appropriate keywords into the heading and the subheadings on your web page. By using headings you are showing the search engine spiders that these words are relevant. They recognize this and rank your site appropriately.

Tags are like sub-headings but are created in a different area on your webpage, not within your main content material. If you are using WordPress you simply add them in to the correct location before publishing. By way of example, if your page was about home-based exercise, appropriate tags could include Yoga Exercise at Home, Home Workout Routine, Home Treadmill Machines etc.

Regularly Update Your Website Content

Remember that search engines want to provide their users with the most up to date information possible. Even if your onsite SEO is fully optimized fro all your webpage, if you never update your website content it may be considered old and out of date. If you do not regularly update your website content it is doubtful that you will get a good search engine listing with your keywords which means you won’t get any free website traffic.

Best Website to Find People? Warning – Addictive!

Care to discover the best website to find people? Alright, then you had better go grab an internet umbrella because you are about to run head first into a TON of over promises and flimsy guarantees. Even some of the bigger people finding search engines fall into this hole…which is unfortunate as we typically always believe the bigger the better.

Not always.

When you arrive at the best website to find people your first though will invariably the same first thought that many of us have had…”where’s the rest of it?”

You see the front page of this series of sites (there are many doorways that lead into the same engine) are incredibly sparse. There is not even a hint of commercialism on them.

You will only see several fields that need you input.

Obviously you will need the first and last name of the person or persons you are looking for. Spelling variables will be handles by the engine to the best of its abilities.

You will need to know (or guess at) the state in which you believe this person is residing in. But don’t worry if you really don’t have a clue as the search engine has a default which allows you to enter “All 50 States…” as an option.

The engine wants to make sure that you are a real person…so it will ask you to enter the simple four digit squiggly numbers and letters.

And that is it. You will then be able to unlock your results for FREE…by simply entering your first name and email! And that is so that the search engine can stay in touch with you should more results come in as time goes by.

The best website to find people is the one that finds people only. It is 100% dedicated to the finding of people.

How To Get Traffic To Your Business Site

I cannot recall where I heard this saying but it makes perfect sense in my head. “You can have the most amazing 5 star hotel in the world, but if it’s on the moon nobody will go there.” The Internet is similar. Like a vast ocean filled millions of websites all trying to get attention from potential visitors.

This makes it very hard for a new business to get noticed in the online world. Don’t get discouraged though because this vast ocean is also full of millions of prospective buyers of your products and services. Once your site gets some traction, you’ll quickly see the opportunity it can bring to your business.

Here’s a list of some of the ways I get traffic to my business sites. It should be noted here that not all traffic is created equal. You may find some awesome traffic sources that never convert to customers and some small high converting traffic sources as well. I’d recommend focusing on the small high converting ones.

Start a blog

Blogging is a fantastic way to get people to your website. Google loves fresh content and making a blog post everyday or at least every week will help keep your site fresh in Google’s eyes and help with your ranking. The more posts you make, the more potential search terms and more traffic will get indexed on the search engines.

Start a Facebook fan page

Facebook is a MASSIVE traffic opportunity for your business. Start a fan page and create some posts. Remember that Facebook is not the same as Google in the sense that people don’t go to Facebook searching for things to buy. Facebook is much more of a social hang out.

You’ll want to offer value by giving free tips, tricks and information to your Facebook fans. Build a relationship and trust with your visitors and then, bridge them to your website.

Consider other social platforms

Consider setting up Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and other social media accounts. The more ways people can find you the better. Twitter is a great tool for business because you can get information out quickly to potential buyers. Tweet about an upcoming sale or a new product.

Post in article sharing sites and similar sites are a great way to re-post your blog and get more traffic. These sites have loads of readers sifting through articles daily and are already getting tons of traffic that you can potentially steer to your site. Your content writing will get better over time and attract more visitors to your site.

The ways I’ve mentioned are all completely free and will only cost you time. I know what you’re thinking… I’m a small business owner I have no time to do all this social stuff. Well, here’s my best trick of all…

There’s a very cool tool out there called Buffer will post your articles to your social media accounts for you on a schedule you choose! Better yet, there’s a WordPress plugin that will automatically do this after you hit the publish button on your blog post!

Amazingly your blog posts will appear on your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest sites and more, saving you tons of time!

HTTP Error – WordPress Flash Uploader

Recently several of our customers moved their websites to a VPS (Virtual Private Server) running 64-Bit CentOS, WHM, cPanel, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.3, and My SQL 5.x, This move was triggered by their desire to get better performance and greater control out of running their own hosted web environment and the VPS seemed like the best fit at the time. Overall their move went better than expected with no major problems. However, one error that they noticed that occurred repeatedly when they tried to use the Flash Uploader in WordPress, was the dreaded HTTP Error.

Flash Uploader in WordPress HTTP Error

I’ll call this HTTP Error the dreaded error, because after researching for hours, trying all the various suggested fixes, and having nothing work consistently our customers asked us for some help with the error we did some research for them and finally stumbled upon a website that provided us with enough information to correct the problem.

First of all, let me point out that this error IS RELATED to the MOD_SECURITY module within Apache. In earlier versions of WordPress, it was a bug, but it was fixed back in version 2.8. So if you are seeing this error in a later version of WordPress (we are running 3.2.1) it is most likely related to your Apache web server incorporating the MOD_SECURITY module. In order to fix the issue you need to determine if you have mod_security or mod_security2 installed because the resolution for each of these modules is quite different.

MOD_SECURITY is an open source web application firewall that is installed as a module for Apache-based web servers. There are two widely used versions of the mod_security module, the first release of mod_security was just plain mod_security, the latest release is referred to as mod_security2. At the time of this post the latest release of mod_security is MODSecurity 2.6.

What Causes the HTTP Error

As I mentioned, our customers are running CentOS 5.7 with WHM and cPanel so the examples you see here are based on that configuration. However, you should be able to apply our suggestions to your own environment if you have an understanding of your server operating system and the location of the server files for Apache and Mod_Security.

The HTTP Error is caused by mod_security because there is a security rule in mod_security that is triggered by the WordPress Flash Uploader. This security rule is meant to stop known security flaws in Flash that have been exploited to inject code into your website. You can see this security rule trigger a message in your mod_security logs in WHM when you try to upload a file using the Flash Uploader. The message we were receiving was the following;

Access denied with code 406 (phase 2). Pattern match “^Shockwave Flash” at REQUEST_HEADERS:User-Agent. [file “/usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2.user.conf”] [line “203”]

Your message may be different based upon the version of mod_security you have installed. As you can see from our message, it clearly states that the rule triggered by the pattern match was in the modsec2.user.conf file which helped us to determine that we had mod_security2 installed.

You will want to determine the mod_security that you have installed and then apply the fix defined in the appropriate section below.

If you have the earlier version of mod_security installed, then it’s a little easier to fix the HTTP Error for the Flash Uploader because your changes can all be incorporated in the.htaccess file in your root directory. This is one of the most confusing aspects of the fixes we found on the internet because not too many websites distinguished the fixes between mod_security and mod_security2.

For mod_security you just need to disable this rule for the async-upload.php file in your.htaccess file. You can do this by inserting the following directive into your.htaccess file in the root of your website.

SecFilterEngine Off

SecFilterScanPOST Off

Now when you use the WordPress Flash Uploader this mod_security rule will not be triggered. The Flash Uploader uses the page async-upload.php and by the above directive the security filter and scanning have been turned off for that one page.

It’s important to point out that you do not want to disable mod_security for your entire website! We found numerous posts on the internet that defined the above directive without the Files specification. DON’T DO THIS! You will open your website up to all type of vulnerability because you will completely disable mod_security.

Once you have made these changes to your.htaccess file and saved the changes, your Flash Uploader should now work, as changes made to the.htaccess file are immediate.

If you are running mod_security2 then the.htaccess changes will not work!

Mod_security2 does not allow changes to it’s security rules via the.htaccess file. The only way you can make changes is through a file called /usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2/custom.conf. This is an important difference between mod_security and mod_security2 and one that I am sure has caused many web site owners a lot of anguish and grief.

To fix this error, if you are running mod_security2, requires a 2 Step process;

Step 1

A) In WHM, open your MOD_Security log under Plugins/Mod Security.

B) At the top of the page you will see an “Edit Config” button. Click it and open the Mod Sec2 Rules.

C) Scroll down until you find the following entry under #Spam Bots –

SecRule HTTP_User-Agent “^Shockwave Flash”

D) We need to change this entry to add an ID so that we can reference it in our mod_security override later. Copy this rule to a new line, comment out the old rule and add the following –

#SecRule HTTP_User-Agent “^Shockwave Flash”

SecRule HTTP_User-Agent “^Shockwave Flash” “id:xxxxxxxxxx”

Replace “xxxxxxxxxx” with an arbitrary number to be used as the ID for this rule. It doesn’t matter what the number is, but you will need to remember it for Step 2(C) in these instructions.

E) Scroll back to the top of the Modsec2 Rules and ensure that the 2 lines below are uncommented in your Modsec2 file. The lines should appear as below;

## whitelist ##

Include “/usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2/whitelist.conf”

Include “/usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2/custom.conf”

We will be making changes to the custom.conf file in Step 2 and we want to ensure that our changes are included in the ModSec2 Rules.

F) Save this file by clicking on the “Save Configuration” button at the bottom of the page.

Step 2 –

A) Now open a SSH connection to your server using your favorite SSH Client. We used Putty for our purposes.

B) CD over to /usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2/

C) Using vi, modify the file custom.conf as follows;

SecRuleRemoveById xxxxxxxxxx

There may already be other entries in this file. If so, just add this entry to the bottom of this file and save it.

Again, it is important that you replace the “xxxxxxxxxx” with an arbitrary number that you selected in Step 1(D) above. This number is an arbitrary ID that we assigned and use to identify the Mod_sec2 security role that we want to override.

D) Reboot your server for the changes that you made to take effect.

Once your server comes back on-line from your reboot, test your changes by uploading a file to your WordPress site via the Flash Uploader. If you followed all of the steps correctly your file should now upload fine without the Dreaded HTTP Error!

Blogging, Articles, and Twitter – A Powerful Marketing Combination

Do you blog?  Do you write articles?  If you answered yes to either question, read on to find out about a powerful marketing combination to boost your business.

The missing key for many is Twitter.  Do you know that you can have your articles at EzineArticles go directly to Twitter?  AND you can have your WordPress blog posts go directly to Twitter?  What does this mean to you?  More exposure for you.  If you have the Twitter widget on your blog, you have a full circle viral marketing system in place because your articles will then come back to your blog.

The strategy for articles and blog posts automatically showing up on Twitter is to go to Twitter and tweet about them after they appear automatically.  Talk about them, explain them, do whatever you can do in the 140 characters you have for a Twitter micro-blog post.

How do you accomplish this automatic Twitter posting?  It’s really quite easy.

  • Go to your profile manager in EzineArticles and put your Twitter username and password in the space provided.  Your newly approved articles will now go to Twitter as micro blog posts.
  • Get the TwitterTools plugin for WordPress and install it.  The only option you want turned off is to create a blog post from a tweet.  Do have your blog posts sent to Twitter and do use the Twitter sidebar widget.
  • Write lots of articles and blog posts, go tweet about them and watch your presence grow.

There is no faster way to become the authority in your area of expertise than to combine this powerful threesome to drive traffic to your blog and articles.

Wouldn’t you like to learn more about implementing this powerful strategy in your online business?

The Secret To Earning $100 A Day With AdSense – THIS REALLY WORKS

I have been doing AdSense for a long time. With failing time after time until I succeeded I know how to reach that $100 a day mark. I see a lot of bad information and bad advice on the internet regarding AdSense. While a lot of people think that is not possible to make money with AdSense. I can tell you that you are wrong. 80% of my income is generated by AdSense. In this long article I will explain precisely how to reach that $100 A day.

AdSense is a numbers game. How much you can earn is directly connected to the amount of visitors you have and how much you can convert. In the end the important part is how much you earn per click. The key is to optimize that.

The system I will explain in detail is based on the method of nice mini-sites. The concept is to find longtail keyword phrase groups for which you can rank #1 on Google fast without building too much backlinks. My aim is for maximum 10 backlinks to rank your landing page.

The First Stage

In order to make some money with AdSense we need to have traffic. In this article I will assume that we do not want to pay for traffic so we have to rely on organic traffic brought in from search engines. Remember that 80% of the traffic will come from Google. We are not going to write articles for article directories. This takes too much time. Our goal is to earn money as soon as possible.

We need to find longtail keywords with minimal competition so that we can rank #1 in the Serps fast for each target keyword that we want to target.

The Second Stage

After we get the traffic to our website, we need to make sure that we can convert them. With conversion rates as high as possible. Because the people that reached your site will not come to it anymore. So we only have one shot to do this right. Our target will be 5%. That means that I will aim at 1 click for every 20 visitors. After you become a expert in this area you can easy reach 10% click through rates.

Conversions depend on the quality of your website. Think layout, colors, information. I have found an particular WordPress theme that seems to increase my conversions. The name is Bluesense. Just Google it and you will find it.

Keyword Research

This is the single most important part of the plan. The goal is find high volume keywords with low competition. This is not as hard as you may imagine. I use a tool called Micro Niche Finder, but there is enough software out there that can help you. Recently I heard Market Samurai but I did not test the product yet. My goal is to find keyword that have a minimal of 50 searches a day (1500 a Month) and competition under the 40,000 in quotes.

The best scenario is to find keywords with 100 searches a day and competition under 20,000. This is not difficult to do.

Getting ranked #1 is Google is easy if you follow the criteria I posted above. Most of the sites that you compete with have low quality backlinks. What does this mean? If you build 10 – 20 quality backlinks you will be able to easily outrank the competition. The aim is to get #1 in Google. So do some research with Yahoo Site Explorer to see how much backlinks the present #1 site has and build backlinks to outrank them.

You can build great backlinks using web 2.0 properties like squidoo etc.

After that use Onlywire to do social bookmarking making the links even stronger. In the past you could build linkwheels but this does not work anymore.

Stick to this daily and keep building and you will see the power of organic traffic.

Tip #1 – Blog about it

Nowadays you can easily create a blog section on your website. Using easy to install software such as WordPress, you can begin to publish blog post on your website almost immediately. By writing new blog posts on your website you’re continuously adding content. Search engines love websites that are always adding new content. If installing blogging software on your website is a bit too complicated, just go directly to websites like WordPress and Blogger. Setting up a blog there only takes a matter of minutes. One thing to consider though is that they’ll be the ones hosting your blog, so you will have limited control.

Tip #2 – Tell the world you’re an expert, write articles

Let the world know how good you are. Write helpful articles about topics in your field. Make sure they’re between 200-700 words long and that you include a link to your website in your bio or author resource box. Submit your articles to the various article directories.

Tip #3 – Social bookmark

Social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Delicious are a huge way of generating traffic. It’s a great way to gain exposure to your website. Make sure to always bookmark all your blog posts on your website and outside of your website. Also try to bookmark the url of the pages your article appears in. To be sure of this just search Google using your article title. This will help you locate the various websites where your articles are.
